Tzu Chi Great Love Preschool's Parents Appreciation Day, which was held online for three years during the pandemic, finally resumed its physical format in 2023. For some children, it was their first time bathing their parents' feet and serving them tea and food, warming the hearts of their parents.

Tzu Chi Teenagers (a.k.a. Tzu Shao) went to Thomson Nature Park for an outdoor experience during the June school holiday. They hiked in the forest, jumped and ran on tree-lined paths during exploration, crossed deep ditches and climbed treetops with excitement and curiosity.
With a rise in mental health issues among the youth in recent years, art therapy has emerged as one of the more popular activities in tackling this growing societal problem. To enhance the social-emotional well-being and social skills of primary school students, Tzu Chi Humanistic Youth Centre (HYC) launched an after-school programme titled “Kidz Hideout” in early 2022, including art therapy as one of its key activities.
Tzu Chi Great Love PreSchool (Yishun) places great emphasis on children’s character development and organises the Parents Appreciation Day event every year. At the home of six-year-old Li Junyi, not only did he involve three generations of his family members in the Parents Appreciation Day ceremony this year, he even included his preschool teacher and his domestic helper, who has been taking great care of him since he was little.
In recent activities for Parents Appreciation Day in Tzu Chi Great Love Preschool (Yishun), young children learned to bake cookies, make cards, serve tea, and bathe feet. Besides creating a heart-warming interaction between parents and children, it was to guide children to be grateful and express their love bravely.
“Electrifyingly surprising and powerful” was what Chee Chen Sin felt when his children bathed his feet and massaged him. Elated and touched beyond words, he could only convey his gratitude with a warm hug for his children. Adding on, he mentioned that opportunities like these are hard to come by.
Since the opening of the Seniors Engagement and Enabling Node (SEEN) centres in 2019, they have served as crucial pillars of support for many seniors living in the community, helping to provide joy and care in their lives. Beyond this, the centres have also been actively supporting various seniors’ research projects . . .

The Seeds of Hope Merit Awards Ceremony was held virtually for the first time in 2021. Heartfelt well-wishes were delivered to student beneficiaries instantly through the internet. The Tzu Chi team and parents witnessed 49 beneficiaries of different ages who remained steadfast in their studies despite adversity, flourishing with newfound confidence.
Tzu Chi Singapore's Parent-Child Bonding Class had organised their last session for the year 2021 on 28 November. Affected by the pandemic conditions, most of the sessions this year had been done online. However, social distancing did not dampen the volunteers' dedication in accompanying the children to move ahead for another year.
